The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says three people are behind bars after a woman was assaulted by her boyfriend and police find meth on their property. Deputies arrested 38-year-old Nathan Lewis Hale after he allegedly fired a rifle at his girlfriend and then sprayed and hit her with a fire extinguisher. Deputies, while conducting the investigation, discovered two females under the influence at the home and over 40 grams of crystal meth. Officers arrested 35-year-old Angela Diane Bowman and 36-year-old Cynthia Michelle Smith. Bowman was charged with public intoxication-controlled substances, and Smith was charged with the same charge. She was charged with theft by failure to make required disposition due to removing her home incarceration bracelet. Hale was charged with assault, wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance and second-offense possession of meth. All three were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
