Laurel County Sheriff John Root says deputies made a drug arrest during an unrelated investigation on Laura Lane this week. During the investigation officers found 34-year-old Gary Lee Ratliff in possession of syringes, some loaded and a spoon with residue believed to be methamphetamine. Deputies say Ratliff admitted using some of the needles and the spoon to shoot up methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
