The Knox County Sheriffs Office says deputies arrested a woman who was wanted for identity theft and has been on the run for three months. 37 year old Tabitha Henderson of Barbourville was arrested in January of this year and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle. During the arrest, Henderson told officials her name was Tiffany Botkins and gave a social security number that belonged to Botkins. Eventually, officials learned that Tiffany Botkins was Henderson’s sister’s name, but by then Henderson was already released from the Knox County Detention Center. Deputies also learned Henderson was wanted for tampering with physical evidence, shoplifting, criminal trespassing and terroristic threatening in Bell County. She was also wanted on a felony probation warrant out of Georgia. Officials got another arrest warrant but did not track her down until this week. Henderson was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center facing her earlier charges as well as one count of identity theft.
